Customize the Blogger Slider
Customize the Slider Revolution that appears on the Blogger Template
After importing the Blogger template, you will notice a nice looking slider on the home page of your blog. That is actually a Revolution Slider.
By default, the slider will pull out posts based on their ids, so at the moment the slider is being populated with the ids from the demo posts.
Let’s change that and make our slider show posts based on a category.
Go to your WordPress admin dashboard -> Slider Revolution and click on the Cog icon to edit the Slider Settings:

You should now be taken to the Slider Settings page and you will notice that in the Content Source area, the Specific Posts option is being used and in the Specific Posts List, we can see the actual ids of the Post that are being used to populate the Slider:
Let’s change the Content Source from Specific Posts to Post-Based Slider. After doing this, you will have a new set of options to use:
- Fetch Poss By – make sure you leave Categories & Tags selected.
- Post Types – this option should have the Post selected, because we want our slider to be populated with Posts.
- Post Categories – this option allows you to select the actual categories you want to show posts from. You can select one or more categories, by holding the CTRL (CMD on Mac) button and selecting the categories you want.
Once you are satisfied with the categories click on Save Changes button and preview your home page again, it should now display posts only from the categories selected.
Other options you can set is the Sort Posts By, Sort Direction and Max Posts per Slider. Play around with these settings until you are satisfied with the result.
