Try updating to version 3.3.2 and it should work correctly after that.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
Stef

That worked!
Though I wanted to circle back to something. A year or so ago you replied to our thread and said to change the child theme version to 99 because every time we updated the child theme version in the css never updated itself. But....when we have that as 99, we never get a notification that there's an update with the main Nimva theme - I'm assuming because it thinks that 99 is the most recent version. Is there a fix for this yet?

The 99 version is needed so that your child theme doesn't get updated - if the child theme gets updated your entire custom work will be lost. Normally the update should still appear for the main theme, if it doesn't you can always go to your WordPress dashboard -> Updates -> and hit the Check again button.
Thanks,
Stef

I understand, but that's what I'm trying to explain. When the child theme is set to "99" there is never any notification of an update available for the parent theme. Ever. What I have to do when there's a new version is go into the child theme, put the recent version (ie. 3.1) and then it recognizes there's a parent theme update available, I update the theme and then have to update back to 99...or the most current version in the child theme. It doesn't fix the issue of having to go in and manually do this every time.

You can test for updates under Dashboard -> Updates -> check again.
There is no way around the update not appearing when a child theme is not active at the moment.
