Image Sizing

I'm about to add several pictures to my website. I've decided to have a kind of image slider-type functionality and have gotten a crude version of what I'm trying to do here: https://braininjurypeervisitor.org/contact-us/

I'm using the OWL Carousel. For consistency, I've tried to resize the images to be the same size but have gotten into all kinds of sizing, stretching, and margin problems.

What would be even better is a non-carousel type of image display with fades between the images but I can't find anything that will do this. Here's an example of what I'm looking for: https://www.whyscotty.org/

Is there any documentation on how to manage images and image sizing consistency without beating my head against the wall?

Does anyone know the plugin that will do fades like the Why Scotty website plugin?
